Universal Orlando gives Pottermania a Boost

Just when we were wondering about the effects of the latest and last installment of Harry Potter filmography on Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, WESH reported that fans attending “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ at CityWalk got a sweet surprise.

More than 3,000 of them were treated to a complimentary red carpet party inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter from 3 to 5 a.m. For those two hours, they had free reign within Islands of Adventure, courtesy of Universal.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ was shown on every screen at AMC Universal Cineplex 20 at midnight.

You can be sure that crowd wasn’t worried about sleep deprivation!

Universal Orlando co-author Seth Kubersky was at the park over the weekend and reported that Islands of Adventure was “a little busier, but still manageable.”

He added that no return tickets were needed to get into WWoHP and there was a 30-minute wait most of the day for Forbidden Journey. The park in general has been pretty busy.

Get your pumpkin juice!

Speaking of all things Potter, those who developed a thirst for pumpkin juice while visiting WWoHP, can now order it through Universal’s online store. It doesn’t come cheap, however, since a four-pack will cost $23.96, which works out to almost $8 for a 16-ounce bottle. In the park, a bottle of pumpkin juice costs $5.99 and just $3 for a cup at Three Broomsticks.

For the uninitiated, the beverage tastes much like pumpkin pie. It’s been available since the park opened in June 2010.

Sorry to disappoint, Butterbeer is not yet available.
