Spider-Man Ride on Hiatus

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man closed Feb. 7, but fans needn’t worry. It’s only for a month or so while workers upgrade the ride with 4K digital high-definition technology. In the previous incarnation, passengers wore 3-D glasses while riding in a news van that’s following Spidey while he fights off the bad guys.

It’s just a small part of Universal’s bigger plan, which includes the new Despicable Me ride, a Superstar Parade, changes to the Blue Man Group show, a nighttime movie memories show, a new miniature golf course, and, of course, expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Orlando Theme Park News this week posted a series of photographs about the renovations underway at Islands of Adventure.
