Harry Potter Celebration Update

More details are being released about the 2015 Harry Potter Celebration, featuring cast members from the films.

The event will take place Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 at Universal Orlando. Of course, the opening of Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida will heighten the excitement.

Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), James Phelps (Fred Weasley) and Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), who appeared last year, will be joined by Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid). They will take part in autograph sessions on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, as well as a Behind the Scenes Q-and-A session.

New this year will be a Kids’ Discussions and Demonstrations where kids can take part in a Dueling Demonstration and Wand Combat Masterclass with Paul Harris, who choreographed the wand fights from the films. They can also learn to Dance like a Beauxbatons and Battle Like a Durmstrang, and take part in Harry Potter Film Trivia. There’s also A Celebration of Harry Potter Expo, which will feature interactive displays and Potterly activities.

Universal Orlando is offering special vacation packages centered around the Harry Potter Celebration, which include (in addition to the above) hotel accommodations, admission to the parks (plus early admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter), a special evening event, breakfast at Three Broomsticks, access to live entertainment at CityWalk, and more.

I do love the manner in which you have framed this specific concern plus it does indeed give me a lot of fodder for thought. However, from what I have witnessed, I simply trust when other responses pile on that folks remain on point and don’t start upon a soap box associated with some other news of the day. Yet, thank you for this fantastic point and while I do not really concur with the idea in totality, I respect the perspective.
