Legoland Plans Additions,’Discovery Centers’

Open less than a month at the former Cypress Gardens, Legoland Florida is already looking to expand — both within the new theme park and beyond.

A water park is scheduled to open next May and a hotel resort is also in the works, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

The publication also reports that Legoland’s parent company, Merlin Entertainments is making plans for Legoland Discovery Centers in Atlanta and Kansas City. The indoor attractions will cost about $12 million each.

Located in Winter Haven, Legoland Florida expects more than 2 million visitors annually.
