Busch Gardens Adds Another Thrill Ride

Concept art for Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens.

Busch Gardens is in the process of installing North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower.

Photos show parts of “Falcon’s Fury” being unloaded at the port of Tampa. Nine sections and more than a million pounds of steel were fabricated in Spain. Other sections came from Slovakia, Switzerland, and Germany. Ken Pilcher of Local 6 Theme World said the trip across the Atlantic and into the Gulf took a month, followed by two days to bring them to Busch Gardens.

“Falcon’s Fury” will rise to 335 feet. It’s expected to open next spring. Check out our earlier post, which includes a video.
