The Peabody has two restaurants with price points that put them very much in the splurge or special occasion category. There is one moderately priced restaurant that has the advantage of being open 24 hours and offering some excellent cuisine. Beyond that, there are few offerings other than the very nice (if brief) afternoon tea served in the lobby from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and light poolside dining.
Perhaps in deference to the denizens of the lobby fountain, duck is not served at any of the Peabody’s eateries.
There are two bars in and just off the lobby that never seem to lack for customers, especially when a convention’s in town. The Lobby Bar opens at 11:00 a.m. and stays open late. The nearby Mallards opens at 5:00 p.m. during the week and stays open to 2:00 a.m. It has extended hours on weekends. Finally, the hotel offers 24-hour room service; menus will be found in your room.
