Water parks are like a day at the beach. Consequently, dining (if that’s the right word) at most water parks is a pretty basic experience. Aquatica sticks fairly close to that model, but adds touches of class. All of the eateries here are cafeteria or convenience-store style. All of them offer a kid’s meal served in a souvenir plastic beach bucket, with a little shovel attached. And, of course, this being a Busch park, all of them offer a range of Busch beers on draft or in non-glass containers. No wine or mixed drinks are available anywhere in the park.
If you want to picnic by the beach, you’ll have to buy the fixin’s at Mango Market (reviewed below). Unlike some other water parks, Aquatica does not allow self-catered picnicking in the park. The only outside food that can be brought into the park is snacks in individual sized containers, bottled water, and baby food. You will be allowed one six-pack-sized cooler if its contents meet the above restrictions. In addition, no straws or plastic cup lids are allowed in the park, this for the safety of the animals.
You can picnic with your own food just outside the park, near the bus drop-off area, where picnic tables are provided. Perhaps to make up for this slight inconvenience, Aquatica provides free cooler-sized lockers near Guest Relations at the park entrance.
