SeaWorld – Guided Tours: Family Adventures

SeaWorld offers a smorgasbord of special activities, day camps, and sleep-over programs for kids from kindergarten through the eighth grade (roughly ages 5 through 13). A five-and-a-half hour birthday party with a Shamu theme costs $850 (including tax) for groups of up to 20 kids and adults and typically includes invitations, birthday cake, favors, reserved seats at Shamu Stadium, and the chance to feed some animals.

Adventure Camp is the umbrella name for a series of week-long half-day and full-day programs for kids of various ages. A variety of age-appropriate programs are offered during the year. Day Camps typically run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (programs for younger kids end earlier). Prices, including tax, range from $250 for half-day programs to $350 for the full-day sessions. After-camp care, until 6:00 p.m., can be arranged for an additional fee. Resident Camps, where the kids stay overnight, can cost over $1,000 per child.

Year round sleep over programs offer bonding experiences for kids and their parents, including such treats as a Halloween outing to Shark Encounter. These overnight events cost $78 per person (including tax).

For more information on these programs call (866) 479-2267 or (407) 363-2380; passport holders can call (800) 406-2244 for information on discounts. The email address is education@seaworld.org. A brochure spells out the registration process in some detail. A complete health history and medical release form must accompany all registrations.
